Tsukuyomi Shouta (月読ショウタ) is a VOICEROID and was one of the first VOICEROID voices in the series to be released, along with being the first male. He and his "sister" product, Tsukuyomi Ai, were released on December 4, 2009. His software was later upgraded to VOICEROID+ EX in 2015.

Vocal description

His design is based off a "seven year old male". Since his voice is of a pre-teen male vocal, at times it can be less obvious what his gender is. His vocal's softness also leads to slight pronunciation problems, but otherwise he is fairly natural sounding. He is not aimed at a mature audience and contains censorship of certain words.

Trivia

  • Released around the same time of Shouta and Tsukuyomi Ai, two of Ah-Software's VOCALOIDs, Hiyama Kiyoteru and Kaai Yuki, were at fear of being subjected to pedophilic or "Lolicon" works. Because of this, both Shouta and Ai are critiqued by some as "Lolicon."
