VOCALOMAKETS (ボカロマケッツ) is a Doujin Circle made up of seven producers operated by Bumpy Factory Co., Ltd.. Together with the assistance of other companies such as AH-Software Co. Ltd., they have developed vocals such as Yuzuki Yukari and Kizuna Akari for the VOCALOID3, VOICEROID+, VOCALOID4, and VOICEROID2 voice synthesizer programs respectively.
History[]
Under the lead of representative Bumpy Urushi, founder of Bumpy Factory Co., Ltd., VOCALOMAKETS, a group of seven producers including: PYS/Paya-P, Niito-P, Chom-P, Kihee, Kagome-P, and azuma, originally approached the Yamaha Corporation with the intention to create their own VOCALOID voicebanks. The group formerly had a main focus on VOCALOID with particular results within their vocals, and a goal to create VOCALOIDs with producers in mind.[1] Their current goal is to make "something exciting and interesting".[2][3]
VOCALOID & VOICEROID[]
In November 2009, the Yamaha Corporation had introduced a new company, AH-Software Co. Ltd., who was beginning out to enter the vocal synthesizer market with the sale of VOCALOID products at that time. VOCALOMAKETS would approach AH-Software and under their supervision, would assist in the development, sales and commercialization of their VOCALOID and VOICEROID products and lead to the group's first VOCALOID3 and VOICEROID+ vocal Yuzuki Yukari, who was released on December 22, 2011 for both synthesizers. During development, VOCALOMAKETS made various investments regarding the development such as the direction of the product, selecting the person in charge of voice, requesting character designs, and proposing the recording of exVOICE voice files included in the VOCALOID package. Upon introduction of VOCALOID4, it was decided that Yukari would be upgraded to the new version.
CeVIO AI[]
On July 22, 2020, VOCALOMAKETS announced that a singing voice for Yuzuki Yukari would be developed alongside updates for IA TALK, ONE TALK, and a Song Voice for flower on CeVIO AI. VOCALOMAKETS noted that their goal is to "further expand the range of singing voice synthesis".[4][5] On November 1, Techno-Speech, Inc., developers of the CeVIO software, announced on Twitter that they would be handling the full development and distribution of Yukari's CeVIO AI Song Voice library, which was later known as "Yuzuki Yukari Rei".[6] AH-Software was not involved in this, although they would later show interest themselves on CeVIO AI Talk software the following month.[7]
A.I. VOICE and SEIREN VOICE[]
On February 16, 2021, VOCALOMAKETS announced that Yuzuki Yukari and Kizuna Akari were confirmed to be receiving A.I.VOICE voice libraries and would release on October 22 and December 24 respectively, again with no involvement from AH-Software (who the prior year had ceased development of VOICEROID due to conflicts with AI, Inc.).[8][9][10] VOCALOMAKETS also would go on to release a version of Yuzuki Yukari and Kizuna Akari for the SEIREN VOICE voice changing application on May 17 and June 24, 2022.
