VOICEROID2 is the current successor to the VOICEROID software. It was initially released on June 9th, 2017 with updated versions of Yuzuki Yukari and Kotonoha Akane & Aoi, with brand new products and characters to later follow.

VOICEROID2 is based on AI, Inc.'s fourth generation of its AITalk text-to-speech engine, AITalk 4.

- Support for multiple vocalists and the ability to switch between them [1]
- The ability to customize vocalists and save the voice configurations and custom presets
- Support of emotional parameters for various vocals, usually between "happiness," "sadness," and "anger," as well as the default (currently only supported for Yukari, Akane & Aoi, Itako, and Yuzuru).
